Academic Planning at St. Joseph’s English Medium School
At St. Joseph’s English Medium School, we follow a structured academic programme that ensures quality learning at every stage of a child’s journey.
- Classes KG to V (Until 2025–26) Our school adopted the syllabus designed by our Society, focusing on strong foundational skills, creativity, and holistic growth. This stage nurtured curiosity and builds the essential skills that prepare students for lifelong learning.
- Classes KG to VIII (From 2026–27 onwards) Beginning with the 2026–27 academic year, we introduced the ICSE curriculum for Classes KG to VIII. This marks a significant step in offering our students a nationally recognized, rigorous, and well-rounded education that emphasizes both academic excellence and holistic development.
- Classes IX and X (2026–27) For Classes IX and X, we continue to follow the syllabus prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and standardized education during this transition phase.
- Future Plan (From 2027–28 onwards) We are preparing to extend the ICSE curriculum to Classes IX and X from the next academic year, thereby completing the transition to ICSE across all grades.
Beyond academics, we believe education is about shaping bright minds and kind hearts. Our goal is to prepare students not only to shine in life but also to contribute positively to society.
Theme & Value-Based Academic Journal
A distinctive feature of our school is the Theme and Value-Based Academic Journal—a creative platform that keeps students engaged throughout the year.
- Each academic year is centred around a meaningful theme.
- Every month highlights a moral value connected to the theme.
This initiative encourages students and teachers to learn beyond textbooks, fostering both academic excellence and the values that shape character and community.
